We're moving to a new IRC server as of now. More secure and stable.

You can talk to us and other AvistaZ members real-time online there.

Details

Server: irc.rizon.net
Channel: #AvistaZ

Client Program needed to connect to chat room

You can use either of below programs.

mIRC (sysreset255 script)
XChat (Linux and Windows)
Babbel (Windows and Mac support)
Chatzilla (Which I think is a lame add-on for Firefox)

Once you install it and run it

Look around the options to put in:

Full Name (Not actual required, make up anything)
Email Address (Not actual required, make up anything but in correct format, username@domain.com for example)
Nickname (Make it your tracker account username)
Alternative Nickname (In case above nickname has been taken by someone else)

Now to connect and join the chatroom

Type /server irc.rizon.net and hit enter.

After you've connected, then to join the chatroom.

Type /join #avistaz and hit enter.

Optional: If you want to register your nickname so that it is reserved for you in future.

Type /msg nickserv register password valid@email.address

Where password is any password you want.

The email address has to be a valid email address as you will be sent a confirmation code. Once you've received this code in your email:

Type /msg nickserv confirm code (Where code is the code received in your email)

This confirmation has to be done within 24 hours of the registration or the code will expire.

Now everytime you connect to our chatroom.

Make sure you got the right nickname, if not type /nick nickname (Where nickname is the one you registered with)

Then type /nickserv identify password (Where password is the one you set above NOT the code sent in your email)

There are no solid rules. There are no rules for staff, but there are rules for you, use your common sense to figure it out by way of example, it is not difficult. Staff do as they will and see fit, they were chosen for their logical common sense and being able to view the bigger picture. If someone gets banned and didn't even break any rules, it probably means you've upset them somehow. Simple, just be "nicer".

Ask yourself that question you're about to post before you post.
