I've been watching a lot of silent Chinese movies recently - starting with the oldest surviving film called Cheng The Fruit Seller (1922). There usually quite interesting, but I was wondering if anyone had seen any other films like Little Toys, The Goddess, Spring Silk Worms etc. Because they're silent it's not that important to get subtitles, but they still would be quite useful - I can read a little Chinese.

The point of this post is to really see how many people are interested in the really, really old films out there...

I've seen maybe 20 silent Chinese films, some of which are available here, or at least somewhere on the net. I sadly had to pass on the chance of raiding the Chinese National Film Museum's shop for old DVDs recently because I didn't have cash on me.
