Hi, i don't mean to be rude but i'm asking for a must see movie. the link that you posted says good movie, i think that a must see movie is different from a good movie imo.

So what's the difference between a must see movie from a really good movie? Kindly illuminate me.

i think the difference between the two is based on the viewer's opinion for example my definition of a must see movie is really supposed to be good, top grossing, great reviews. and a good movie is just a fair movie. i'm sorry if my answer doesn't satisfy your question

Fair enough.
You should atleast provide some of your preferences so that people could recommend you movies that are far more suited to your taste.

95% of the films on those lists are usually American-made.
Meaning the lists were compiled by cultural noobs.
I think a stand-out film like Doctor Zhivago is a benchmark movie ... a classic against which all historical dramas could be judged and measured.
Timeless... it will surely be just as admired in year 4083 as it is today.
In short... a masterpiece.
I used to own 1,000 European films on VHS and some of those intoxicated me:
- an early version of Les Miserables (1958, Jean Gabin in the Valjean role)
- the French classic All the Mornings of the World
- ... so many others that I loved. Gone in a fire.
I could spend 2 days writing in this thread.
The good news is that I won't.
rudolfchua... maybe you could ask a mod to add the Topic Description as:
Films you must see before you die
... if that's consistent with what you mean.
It might serve to make a distinction with other threads.

Great example of muddled thinking.
is it good, gooder, goodest, didn't know there were degrees of good
you asked for an opinion and got some.
I'm sure there are many examples of good, memorable, must watch, movies offerred in this thread including many with low box office receipts and reviews including those suggested in my earlier post.
if you're not prepared to follow these links and respond after you've watched them all, whats the point of your post.
perhaps we'll hear from you in a year or so after you've reviewed them and you can offer us your subjective thoughts/opinion.
Blah, Blah, Blah.

good, better, best
I think he's talking about best, not good.
And maybe he went to the http://www.avistaz.com/ link, found CATIII films on the first page, and decided that wasn't the best of world cinema that he had in mind.

In no order or following no list, try 13 Tzameti if you have the time. I have the old Les Meserables on my hard disk now, the audio is a little irregular but what a great movie it is!
